I find it strange that Rudd/Gillard, being the populist politicians they are, would in an election year, allow these in detention to stay in a hotel. I mean if the media grabs hold of this (as they should) and shows it on prime time free to air news (like instead of seeing the usual showings of major international events on national 9 news, like a tree fell on a house in Blackwood or a old lady had her cat stuck in a drain) that these ECONOMIC migrants are kicking back in hotels, then this will surely enrage the Australian population. Could take the asylum issue to a new level of bad news for Rudd/Gillard. Good !!
Then again, how else would Labour be treating their new future Labour party voters...
John Howard sent them to Pacific islands and then mostly back to where they came from.
Kevin Rudd sends them to Australian hotels and then gives them Australian passports.
