However, it seems few are interested. It's not headline news anymore so I guess very few even know this is regularly happening. Are we becomming conditioned to this where it doesn't matter anymore?
Or perhaps that's only until they are brought en masse to a suburb on the mainland near us or near someone we know without consultation. But then it's too late.
Surely it is better that this is handled properly such as Nauru which has already been paid for courtesy of Aussie taxpers. Why can't Nauru be considered apolitical such as taxpeyer funded hospitals and schools? We don't shut them down with a change of government so why shouldn't the facilities at Nauru be used? It has proven to work.
I don't understand the media keeping so quiet on these consistent boat arrivals. It seems this government has lost control.
