Butcherboy, did CC actually state he flew to Switzerland to meet PALAs boss.
I find that bizarre in 2 ways:
1. It indicates he was concerned by PALA 12 months or so prior to making the announcement about PALA, which does not make sense since they would have had a very small holding. If that is true then obviously they have increased their holding to 3.4% since that meeting and by the time that announcement was released which implies the meeting was ineffectual. I am referring to first PALA announcement by the way.
2. I can't believe a CEO would have even had such a meeting with PALA unless there was something else in mind, e.g. finance...
For a CEO to make a plea for a company not to make a takeover is in my books very unprofessional esp when the said company had less than 4% holding. I just find it hard to believe that CC would do this, unless there is a lot more going on behind the scenes which remains unannounced.
