Actually looking through both statements I think you could be right ASXIOU. According to the Pala one they hold 24,950,251 shares and became a substantial holder on 18th August and it also shows them purchasing 1,486,916 shares on 18th of August (meaning if we do the sums that they had under 24,000,000 on 17th of August).

The UBS notice states the holder became a substantial holder on 17th August and held 24,208,78 on that date.

Certainly interesting activity.
