On the subject of the importance of porphyry deposits, I posted this over at GOA recently. I thought I had included this link when I posted up the resource table a while back but must have mucked it up. It's a presentation by Dr Steve Garwin for Southern Arc Minerals, a Canadian explorer. I found it interesting at any rate.
