Barry Irvine has already stated he would like to see it stay Australian owned.
My call is he will conditionally support the MG bid until it gets approval (which it will) on Feb 28th.
He has also made noises in the media in recent days of possibly working with MG to secure bega's future as well.
To say MG and Bega are bitter enemies is not true.
Our companies are very similar with proud farmer owned and controlled histories. I have never seen any question of animosity.
As Barry said a week ago, as they currently have two seperate bids, they couldn't discuss a joint bid for legal reasons.
Our wonderful dairy industry is at stake.
I am sure sound minds will prevail.
