Deregulation of the Dairy Industry has proved since inception to be of no benefit to returns of farmers in fact there are less and less farmers every year and the farm gate price for milk is a joke.

There were many Victorian farmers that did not agree with dereg, but so called industry leaders had the say for all,

There are still some professional dairy farmers in Vic, who still farm to the old quota/contract system who are growing from strength to strength and some of these even have agreements with factories to be paid accordingly.

MG and Fonterra have done nothing since dereg to grow our great industry and to allow either to take WCB will only suppress the farm gate price.

BGA is the only rational outcome for all concerned, competition makes a healthy industry.
