Sep, I never said RU was a worthless shell, wwr was pretty close. (except the GDO shares it held - a little weird.)
RU is a different beast and many seem to have a good handle on where the risks are and at what point. (Mal's 2nd post was good) (someone posted about POG at $1100, that I don't see, but that's just me.)
My guess, Harmony ditched because RU didn't fit their vision, saw it as U deal and Pamodzi were left with the leg work and were screwed raising funds in the current environment.
A win-win, maybe. I hope so for holders.
Sold because it was unprofitable, no , however still doesn't make it a prudent decision for GDO.
This is the type of transaction that reminds you that investing in the underlying commodity is far simpler in many ways.
