Good to see the directors starting to seriously get Gondwana into the iron ore business as an explorer.
The recent new aquisition of the wallal downs prospect looks to be a lot more exciting than some of the smaller drill results being announced by other companies at the moment.
GDA's new ela 45 / 3139 has excellent access and infrastructure being right next to the coastal highway ( see asx ann' 19 nov 07). I like the 25km strike length and the chance it may be an extension of the Nimingarra banded iron formation ( haematite), atlas iron and bhp are nearby. Seems to be lots of resource company activity in the area and I'm glad gda have now staked a claim amongst it all. Getting it for the issue of only 3m shares looks like an excellent move by the GDA management, well done Warren.
There should be some iron ore drill results soon from the recent drilling in the Parker Range GDA jv at Mt Caudan iron ore project with cazaly iron, the previous rock chip samples reported to the asx on the 24th oct 07 showed 8 samples returning higher than 60% Fe best was 64% Fe. They took samples from over a strike extent of 1.5km with continuos mineralisation over 900m. Could be up to 30m tonnes. Hematite or magnatite ?
I hope they head down a similar path for the GDA tenements north of Fortescue's new Cloud Break operations. They need to spend some dollars to check the iron content of each tenement they have in the pilbara so I hope the news tomorrow on the rights issue cashes the company up so they can do some jv work with either their neighour BC Iron, Flinders or FMG to do some ground geophysics or regional gravity and magnetic aerial surveys. GDA have thousands and thousands of historic samples they haven't really looked at and they will hopefully enter into discussions with some of the sucessful emerging iron ore companies.
Tht would make GDA a three iron ore target company.

Good to see the directors starting to seriously get Gondwana...
