Poyndexter, a relatively easy way forward would be to require a joint sitting of both houses of Parliament whenever legislation is blocked in the Senate, with a simple majority of the combined houses determining the outcome.
In the event that the government LOST such a vote a double dissolution election should then be mandatory.
