Lobbying by the Church to influence local administrators at Tampakan to have areas designated as protected watersheds. Areas that are declared protected watersheds are not allowed to be mined. Any mining concessions that pre-exist on them become worthless. These areas already lock up significant deposits that local swindlers like to milk money from before naive speculators realise they are no-go zones.

A push by Catedral to postpone all mining in Sth Cotabato for 5 years in an effort to reforest hillsides. This will give Aussie operated, but Canadian listed, Cadan not much to do if their underground T'boli mine is forced to shut down. Especially considering they recently signed their other deposits in Comval over to Aussie listed MNE. Not so long ago there was a landslide at T'boli that killed a few small miners and took out Cadan's site office.
