Obama and the Democrat (left of centre) "PC" styled leaderships of the West have moved in the opposite direction to where they should have been going...pandering instead of dictating the way it needs to be. That is not to say that the right of centre controlled leaderships are much better - though they have been undermined and infected by the PC crowd that have permeated all walks of life since the 1980s.
Russians, Chinese (and even Japanese to an extent) for example, are given far more leeway in their handling of such situations and treatment of those who do not conform - the hypocrisy of PC is the double standards to which it adheres and the selectivity in how it addresses itself...
...and the United Nations sets the lowest of standards in this arena.
