so HC, you are suggesting the next proposed well is approx. 4 miles NNE of Bigham 1.... thats about what i can deduce from a google map. It is probably slightly more into the oil trend than Bigham 1 (slightly perhaps). That puts the Marathon wells that Washington is talking about about 8 miles SW and 5 miles direct south from Bigham 1 (for the ones closer to the intersection of 957 and 532 roads that he mentioned that they may have leased).
I classify that as "nearology" in shale terms and that cant be a bad thing when you have a company like marathon in your backyard.
