Also, we need to stop this nonsense about not chasing criminals and somehow apprehending them at a later date. You have to remember that a lot of these people are not living a normal life, i.e. own a house, do a 9-5 job etc.
If criminals know that the police with stop chasing them after a certain period of time, for the sake of innocent bystanders safety, then will attempt a reckless getaway in the hope that the police will give up.
If criminals are not stopped, they will keep on doing the crime. It is a lifestyle for them.
