They were purged due to the legal action that ensued. I actually left HotCopper before all that muck kicked off as I had been bullied by some who got caught when the share price fell from 3.8 to 1.1, and many who continued to "talk up" the stock failed to see the writing on the wall (Valentine duster, etc. - and the change in forecast cash flows which was a game changer in my opinion). There were also technical signs at that time that signaled a top (in the 4's), with a break back down at 3.8 being my running-stop level.
