The other thing that people seem to forget about is that taking seed in a company gives you a much higher change of getting a decent allocation in the IPO, as opposed to getting a trivial 'spread' amount.
So, if you expect the IPO to be amazing, which I do in this case, tying up a bit of money now for a period of time in exchange for a significant allocation in the IPO is a very small price to pay imo.
Hence why I am trying to get seed in this company so that I can (hopefully) get a decent allocation at IPO.
