If I had a choice of buying $15000 of PRR shares at 28c on market or 28c in the spp I would opt for the spp for two reasons. To buy on market no money goes to the company so I am just shooting myself in the foot were the spp to fail because I chose the on market option. The sp would imo certainly fall if the spp is not well subscribed. Secondly at the same price there is no brokerage payable if bought in the spp.
As long as the sp holds at or above 30c for the reasons outlined above the spp should be taken up .
Successful completion of the spp will be a very big event for the company as notwithstanding what happens to global markets it can confidently proceed through the final trials without a financial monkey on its back.
