typhoon coming

Another system test on the way..huge typhoon will pass just, and barely just, to the north....hope it holds up...

# Typhoon DURIAN (REMING) intensified rapidly into an extremely
dangerous Category 4 system with winds of 230 km/hr...may reach Super
Typhoon strength tonight...will strike Catanduanes and Camarines
Provinces tomorrow.

*This typhoon is much stronger than XANGSANE (MILENYO) which crossed
almost the same area 2 months ago. All interests in the Northern
Samar, Bicol Region & Quezon Provinces should closely monitor the
progress of this dangerous typhoon.

+ Forecast Outlook: DURIAN is expected to reach Category 5 early
tomorrow morning before hitting Catanduanes Island with projected
winds of 250 kph. The core (eye + eyewall) shall pass over the Island
of Catanduanes tomorrow morning (Thu Nov 30) - with a near distance of
about 25 km. North of Virac around 8 AM local time and then shall cut
across the coastal areas of Northern Camarines Sur (Caramoan
Peninsula) tomorrow before noontime til the afternoon (Nov 30) passing
about 50 km. NNE of Naga City around 1 PM local or in the vicinity of
Siruma, Camarines Sur. The Eye shall make landfall over Daet,
Camarines Norte late afternoon tomorrow. Kindly check out the EPFT
shown above. The typhoon shall be over Lamon Bay tomorrow and move
across Quezon, and shall be in the vicinity of Metro Manila around 7-8
AM Friday, Dec 1 before moving out into the South China Sea Friday
late afternoon via Bataan and Subic Bay.
