The merchant wont pay fees on debit card. A debit card pays the same fee as a credit card even though a credit card is a form of unsecured debt.

Banks wont be allowed to charge customers / merchants for them accessing their own money.
They will still be able to charge for credit cards.
Its terrible for Tyro and will be the end of them.
