tyro have more merchants then square in the Australian market. Square has bigger market share because square supports sellers from Australia, Ireland, UK, Canada and Japan. Squares business model is different to Tyro. Square does not have a banking licence and can not provide loans and transaction accounts as tyro does and they only do have their own point of sale and focus on small businesses and cafes that can customise to their POS. Tyro integrates to over 300 point of sale system.
