I get the attraction of buying a competitor who's share price has fallen significantly, and where Tyro probably believes there is significant opportunity to lift the performance of Smartpay in terms of;
1) Repricing
2) Expanding Smartpay's offering to include banking
3) Synergies (duplication in management team and throughout the organisations)
But, to do so mainly with script at a time when Tyro's own shares are trading at such a low level is still perplexing...
