Tyro was hoping for a deal at between $1.75 and $1.80 per share, and made it clear it would not accept a lower offer. Tyro had rebuffed the $1.60 per share offer in December, prompting outrage from shareholders including Wilson Asset Management, Harvest Lane, QVG Capital and Mike Cannon Brookes's Grok Ventures.
Tyro will accept an offer of $2 now as the valuation has gone up.
