Banks also issue the credit cards and make money on account fees/credit cards interest payments. so it is in their interest to offer the EFTPOS at a low cost. Their profit centre is in the credit card lending. Tyro will never make a dime as it does not offer these services. The only one making money in the EFTPOS credit/debit are the payments companies - VISA and Mastercard, not tyro.
