TZ is a company that delivers a piece of infrastructure to the supply chain in its lockers and data centre security for its IXP as its main business.

If TZ were to be put into administration etc the lockers and IXP would be secured by the administrators and shut down. This would have to be done by the administrators to secure the assets of the business for the creditors. That is their role.

Shutting the locker down would mean that customers could not secure their goods. This would then result in TZ’s clients being liable for not delivering the goods under their contract of carriage. Leaving them liable and in turn being able to mount a case possibly against. If we were to look at all the items and their value in the lockers across all sites it would be substantial, then there is the loss of clients to the courier companies.

IXP shutting down could either hinder or stop the access to TZ’s clients' technology. Need I say more.

IMO if TZ were to go into administration without prior warning to its clients than it would be liable for the above. Yet if it advises its clients it is headed towards administration it also would breach ASIC rules. The Chairman is now stuck between the better of two evils for himself and the company.
