    Tree Shaking is actually a coloquilised phrase coined by the British during the occupation of India by the East India Company.

    There was a provinvce whose King was called Tri Shah. So the locals obviously called him Tri Shah Raja. The literal translation is Tri Shah King.

    Legend has it that when he was upset with the occupying British forces he would send out his small army and ruffle their feathers a bit. The weaker British officers would just retreat. This became known as committing a "Tri Shah King".

    Over the decades people have just assumed the phrase is Tree Shaking when it actually isnt.

    If only people knew the facts.....
