Watching more elon vid lately, he is so forward thinking.
To electrify everything, eg transport and heating. his claim USA will need 3x the electricity that they are producing now.
So even if we could get to 100% renewables, the need is actually for 3x that amount.
So can you imagine the amount of batteries /storage you would need for that.
If nvx can produce graphite at scale at reasonable cost, it should be a winner.
I do worry about regulations in USA though,
Elon was giving us some of his true but absurd examples of regs going wrong.
Space- X apparently needed a fish license to launch their rockets???
Why- because someone was concerned that a re entry rocket could hit a shark or whale and kill it.
So they had to find someone to calculate the risk of a re entry rocket hitting a shark or whale, apparently the fish licensing
board could not except that the risk would be close to zero.
