Please explain how shorting works robmillion
When you short a share you sell something you dont own.You need to borrow the shares from someone else You then have to buy it back to make your profit and return the shares to the original owner
So if the shorters sell their shares at 30c hoping to buy back at 15c and then there is a takeover at 45c and they havent bought their shares back because the price didnt fall to 15c they still have to buy the shares back.
So wouldnt they be scrambling over each over to buy back the shares????
Doesnt shorting work like that?
Also their are more countries than China that need uranium. Indian is one example
