The Hondo site was not a good fit and with the mayor balking at the water demand.....
The new site they are considering would be very close to coast and port and in one of the already-active industrial areas; there are several suitable sites. There are petro-refineries in the area as well, so utilities and infrastructure would not be limiting.
Not sure about the fate of Blue Line venture; pretty sure something was signed. The US DOD grant was to Lynas or LynasUS? I don't know; seems germane but not important.
