Nothing wrong with the Gold mine, that's not what this scam is about. I wish you well with that one. However, you don't open cut any mine with 300m of overburden, even if it has a gold deposit on top to pay some of the way.
FYI, Mountain Pass is down about 185m and will probably have to go underground at 200m
