China, you appear to have limited knowledge of open pit mines in the world today
There are dozens of mines more than 300m deep. Our own super pit in Kalgoorlie is some 375m as just one example. The Bingham Canyon mine in Utah is over a kilometre deep at 1200m and still very profitable..
So yr comments are incorrect, very incorrect.
There is no limit to depth providing the waste to ore ratio is economical.
