Unfortunately I recall that MG's uncle is it that owns a large stake in SLX and seems to be protecting him. as you say it's just a plaything for him really.
The secrecy is way overdone - the only secrets should be the tech not the status of deploying (or should I say not deploying) it.
I should have sold when I found out the shenanigans that went on leading to the removal of the Chairman (Burdon) and the SLX "restructure" .
Was too pig headed.
