I just did a search on what uber drivers make, and while it was US based where cab fares and wages are lower than here, it was not attractive.
If they were to operate in the provinces I might look at it on a very casual basis but Uber take 25% of the gross for providing a software app and back of house billing. Nice work if you can get it. A non-driver owner can get 50% of the remainder so a "spare" driver would starve.
