Bias? If I thought it was a threat I would have sold a long time ago. I did buy in during when Uber got "popular" however so maybe there is a reason for me buying in?

Regarding you thinking it will be legalised that could be, however, every time I do a news related search on Uber each day, I see a new article pop up saying it's banned or told to shut shop in yet another country/jurisdiction.

Govs generally do benefit from a regulated taxi industry of some sort similar to Australia. Australian gov is just slow. We will see.
