they have global revenue of 37b and 2.3b of earnings - id say they got off lightly.
i was loyal to the taxi industry and was always happy to pay a little more to use their service.
what turned me away was, they expected me to pay a premium during the day and then they wanted to screw me at midnight when i was heading home. the argument was 'see how much an uber will cost you'. i couldn't continue to accept getting bent-over at both ends.
you think uber's stink, they're no worse than a perth taxi.
