Can't agree with you more !

Australia/WA need more revenues to replace the declinal of gold export & other metals declinal caused by the GFC. What it means that the govt (both State & Federal) will step in to ensure third partry's access be allowed through financials compensation to BHP & RIO

BHP & RIO merger is too big comined entity to be ignored - I think it will not be permitted to merge for fear by the Chinese & th Europeans & Japanese of its future monopolised status.

Again, time will tell
