ubs raises platinum palladium forecast on exp, page-10

I think at this stage we really need to get to grips what effect the platinum and palladium ETF's are going to have on the market. I saw what happened to gold when and ETF came in and I saw what happened to silver as well but the physical liquidity in the PGM sector is minuscule in comparison and as a consequence the price reaction could be that much more violent. The large caps (Impala, AngloPlat) admit that it could have a dramatic effect on supply and price. It's no coincidence that the announcement was aimed at breaking Platinum US$1250 resistance. My view is that yr end we will see platinum at US$2000 area and palladium around US$750. As far as PLA is concerned though it's all in a year of very significant newsflow and producer status re-ratings so the timing is, well, simply perfect.
