Trump's held the job for bit 2.5 years. He was inaugurated on 20th Jan 2017. Who knows what will happen before the new president takes over in January 2021- if there is a new president.
Republican or Democrat- it would be risky to break up the big US tech firms in the middle of a trade war that will go on for maybe decades no matter who's in the Oval Office.
