What a great post, it's enjoyable to read such useful well presented information.

Basically 1 trillion tonnes of coal, can't be fully valued. It can't be sold quickly enough and it also can't be properly paid for by acquisition, given that applying a value of just $1 per barrel would mean an acquirer would need to fork out $1 trillion.

But just because the coal tonnage is hard to comprehend doesn't mean that it isn't there, it just means that if it can be monetised it's about 100 times larger than it needs to be to be absolutely massive.
