I think if everyone sat down and worked out where their profits have come from it would have been as follows:

(1) 2006-2008 UCG expectations $0.16-$4.90

(2) 2010-2011 Adani sale and hype around Teresa Sale $0.94-$3.15

(3) Nov 2012-Mar 2013 Hype about $20 Trillion of Revenue from Shale plus hype around 50,000 bopd from Alaska $0.55-$2.95

(4) Jul 2013-Date Cedar point drilling results $0.80-$1.71

Interestingly the two actual UCG deals didn't really move the SP much.

So yes a lot of profit is on hype which is why you have to trade with the hype.


Still no Cedar point well 3 results which worries me plus still no news on SAPEX so I'm staying out again until I get some news.

I am basically neutral on the stock but negative on the whole market.
