As Syngas is a little less energy dense than Nat gas, installing larger jets would all that be required. The only hick up I can see is I don't believe UCG will respond to variations in flow very well. Does anybody know? Therefore the power station would be required to run 24 hrs a day providing base load electricity. Where as if Syngas in converted to Nat gas, then when the power station had low power requirements the excess could be put down the pipe for a premium price.
I don't know the answers how things will develop, not sure if Linc has a clear plan as of yet, but it will be interesting to see how it all develops. Linc did but a unit to convert Syngas to Nat gas, but no news about that at the AGM. A bit like the Velocys GTL, all top secret.
