kevqaz (and the other two - so far - who have given him (her?) the t/u), I do agree that I should have made some acknowledgment of the present sanctity of the mine but if you think I'm indifferent to 'the bodies still in there', I can only wonder what you make of my recognition of today as 'a tragic moment in time'. You might equally impute coldheartedness to the journalist who asked the mine CEO a question about the economic future of the mine (still containing bodies}, or to the CEO himself for bothering to answer it. I'm sure that I probably feel the grief of the stricken families quite as much as you do, unless of course you have some close personal contact with the tragedy. If so, please acccept my sincere personal condolences.
Otherwise, I hope that more discerning readers will understand that the real point I was making is about how we are to avoid future bodies in this, and other, manifestly dangerous underground coal mines. The one thing we, who are aware of ucg, know is that where it is applied lives will never be lost.
