Dex,
I'm pretty sure Yerostigaz runs at a small profit, so there is no drain on Linc's cash to keep that many staff.
And I don't think Linc is reinventing UCG. Both Linc's and Ergo's technology is based on that used at Yerostigaz. So I can't see any reason that Linc won't be successful in developing/refining their technology to be at least as good, if not better than Ergo's.
Anyway, we should find out in a couple of months when Linc release their report on the new generator. If they don't release anything or it's too light in details, then I will probably rethink my position in the company.
The thing is, Linc has never said until now that they have developed a generator that they will be able to use in a commercial project. Now they've put it out in the open, they've forced themselves to release details on the peformance of their UCG technology. If those details aren't released then we can probably assume that things aren't going too well.
I can't see any reason that all of the UCG companies can't release full details of the performance of their commercial size generators. Telling us how much gas per hour and how much gas per tonne of coal is produced and it's composition shouldn't be commercially sensitive, it's not like their giving us the blueprints.
