    About BCG Energy

BCG Energy Group is an exploration & production organisation focussed on the development of 'unconventional' gas fields through underground coal gasification (UCG).

The group operates through subsidiary companies, each of which holds licences to exploit coal reserves within a specific geographic area in close proximity to power generation and petrochemical markets for the 'syngas' and ultra-pure diesel feedstock products derived from UCG operations.

The group commercial structure is modelled on the conventional oil & gas marketplace, allowing for different partner groupings within each subsidiary gas production licence.

Our sales gas is produced from deep coal reserves, accessed by advanced drilling techniques, also drawn from the conventional oil & gas industry, and using long established production & processing technologies.

In the UCG process, the licenced coal reserves remain in-situ. Only the commercial product 'syngas' is produced to surface processing, together with associated CO2 which is immediately returned to underground sequestration, making the production process environmentally benign.

BCG Energy is in the 'new energy, proven technology' business, using established exploration and production technologies to create secure, sustainable and environmentally efficient gas supplies to the markets in which we operate.
