Lots of different ways of looking at charts and price action...

Lots of different ways of looking at charts and price action patterns - I guess it all comes down to a belief that somehow the market 'knows' - an if that is the case and if you can read Mr Market's mind you can profit. For that reason I post a typical chart that I sometimes follow.

What I try to read from it first is the Wyckoffian sentiment of the market participants.
That means looking for spikes which will be sold off - retracements to the 50% level (uncanny how it nearly always happens) and finally the exhaustion of the sellers (on decreasing solid red volume bars) before there is Wyckoff's famous 'jump the creek' movement to start the next leg up.

Notice the small solid red bar on 27/3 which pulled back below the average line, and the jump over that line next day followed by a gap up day - very bullish. That is the 'jump the creek'
Subsequent to that the two down days were profit takers who missed out, and today we resume the upward run.

So the big Q. is, what is it that Mr Market knows - I'll take a guess - we will have news soon of a big sale maybe into a European country (or two) which has run out of toilet paper, and needs to keep the sheep settled.
