From what I know the message on more frequent updates in view of the very special circumstances has been heard by the Uscom Company - Loud and Clear! The whole organisation I believe is like 10 acres of Bee Hives in the honey season. It is public knowledge that Rob Phillips is planning release of a regular monthly newsletter.
From my experience the Aus. Prime Ministers statement released today is a policy statement. There have been parallel statements released in China in recent weeks. These policy statements put the bureaucracies to work to make it happen. Specifications are released and tenders called. But this all takes time.
I do know that in China there is clear recognition at the highest levels of the value of the USCOM 1A in streamlining Triage management and improving staff efficiency. There are already many 1A machines in use at crisis points in China and they do need and want more. I am not sure that Canberra have got to that understanding yet.
