    @whereu sometimes and, recently more frequently, I find humans sufficiently alien not to have fantasies about other life forms on planets millennia years of time travel away 'visiting' - most likely with evil intent, or looking for a livable planet, because they were smart like us and have wrecked their planet.

    Objectively speaking it is not beyond the realms of possibility or imagining, that other planets have been populated by life based on the same or different parameters to ours, and if they have achieved any level of sophistication, would have ruined their planets - or maybe just in the course of all things, would be either coming to an end or - maybe at the beginning of a cycle.
