Wormholes are predicted by Einstein's theory of general relativity.
Theoretically, a wormhole might connect extremely long distances such as a billion light-years, or short distances such as a few meters, or different points in time, or even different universes.
We have found no evidence of wormholes yet, but if they do exist, technologically advanced civilizations may have found means of exploiting them.
Then again, there is evidence pointing to the probability that more advanced beings have been living with us for a very long period, and they may have influenced our development.
Look at the huge differences between us humans and our primate cousins. The other primates are all at roughly the same level of development so how it it that we are so much more advanced?
Simple Darwinian evolution does not provide a satisfactory answer. However, selective breeding combined with genetic manipulation does.
