You are looking at from your own perspective. What the people of the time, culture and place were expressing is entirely different. I suggest that you delve deeper and learn what the imagery represented to the Mayans themselves, and not how an amateur 'Alienologist' like yourself wants to interpret their religious and cultural symbology.
