Yes, yes, all that, but scripture has several meanings.

Light means a truth that is the clearest, safest way to live one's life. Jesus Christ is a light, a path, better way to live. Light and dark also refers to right and wrong, good and bad, signalling that humans live in a relative state of opposites and must exercise the very limited free will they have to choose between darkness and light, good and evil.

The Bible speaks of the Teachers of the near Jewish peoples, a Prophet in the age of Adam, Abraham, Noah, Moses. The NT relates to the latest in this line of Prophets, Jesus. The Bible can't be expected to speak about Krishna, or Buddha, or Zoroaster. For instance there is a claim in Buddhism that there have been 28 Buddhas. Adam / Abraham / Noah / Moses are forms of Jesus and there have been many not recorded by history. There have been 8 Krishnas and it is said He returns from age to age when evil is in the ascendancy.

So everything in the Bible said about Jesus is true, but it is not declaring the original Jesus as the last, infinite Teacher. It even states He will return, well that return is not literally Jesus, it is one like Jesus. The Buddhists have Maitreya Buddha who is expected at about the same time as the return of Jesus. Hindus and Zoroastrians also are waiting for this return. They are all waiting for the same being, the return of this Jesus like figure.

So while the Bible will give you insight via a specific religious line it needs to be understood that this is one path of many, not the only path.
