Uganda Exploration Drilling Update: Nzizi-1 [Exploration Area 2]
As of midnight on 30 October, the rig is on location and in the final stages of preparation for an anticipated spud date this week. Nzizi-1 is a slim-hole well that will be logged but is not planned to be tested, targeting Miocene aged sands 5.5km southwest of the Mputa-1 discovery well and updip of Mputa-2. Nzizi-1 has a planned Total Depth of 1,030 metres to penetrate the
interpreted basement in this area of the basin.
